After Yuyuko's death, she figured he was probably going to end up being one of the few who made it (or so she believed at the time), so sticking around him seemed to be a good idea. Seeing how knowledgeable he was, it stood to reason that he could probably teach her a few things!
While she's not sure if he'd consider her a friend (after some of his previous conversations she'd overheard), he was one of the people she trusted the most before the finale. In a note she had hidden on her person, she actually asks if that offer for a flower arrangement is still up for grabs in the event she died.

She and Yuyuko did sort of get off to a rocky start with the whole suicide conversation thing, and Mei still harbors some guilt over that. She's actually pretty curious about the whole being a ghost thing, and wonders what the world Yuyuko comes from is like.
Though their personalities are pretty different, she sort of found some similarities to her sister in Yuyuko. That's probably why she felt so close to her. It was also nice to have a sort of motherly figure who didn't treat her like a stranger.
Yuyuko's death pretty much crushed her, even though she tried her hardest to solve the murder. The only thing that really stopped her from falling back into that bottomless pit of despair was trying to bring justice to the killer, and Yuyuko's letter. She couldn't save Yuyuko, (until she decided she could use her prize to bring her back) but she would do her best to see that letter reach her friends.
While she doesn't show it all that much, she's positively thrilled to see Yuyuko again. When it comes to returning to their own worlds, she's really going to miss her.

Mei was honestly very jealous about how Maya was offered retirement while she wasn't, but she was also pretty moody in general that week because her ghostderp bff was killed.
But that faded relatively quickly. Mei never really disliked her. Maya brought a bit of light into the castle, and was one of the few faces Mei had grown to enjoy seeing around. She's not really sure if they're friends, but she'd like to think so.

Mei's had some conflicted opinions about Glinda. Glinda, like Maya, brought amount of happiness into the castle, but Mei doesn't understand how they could remain so pleasant to be around during all the madness.
While Glinda was pleasant to be around (and Mei was very thankful when she helped out with her little memorial for Yuyuko), Mei thought she was kind of reckless. Barging into people's rooms and sniffing chloroform are not good survival tips. (Mei's actually surprised she made it to the end of the game)
She likes Glinda, though! The singing is kind of annoying at times, but Glinda's just sort of nice to have around.

That aside, he's one of the few people she actually really trusted throughout her time at murder castle. He had his...less than intelligent moments, but he was pretty determined to see things through!
It was actually him who managed to bring her out of her depression with his little pep talk after her confession about her failed grease murder. She still holds those words to heart, even though the possibility of seeing her sister again was nothing but a lie.
He also earned some massive bonus points for offering to help with Yuyuko's burial. (She probably would have gotten hurt or something trying to do it herself.)
Mei isn't too fond of the times he's really loud. (Why does everyone have to scream OBJECTION, that stuff confuses her and loud noises are startling.) She does like him though. She's always thought he was a good person, even if he does make some blunders.

She still feels horribly guilty over her grease trap which may or may not have led to Kougyoku's death, so she really doesn't blame Maribelle for getting so cross at her about it. The tension between Mei and Nanami proooobably didn't help either.
Mei didn't get very close to her, but from what Mei observed, Maribelle seemed like she would have made a good, albeit somewhat harsh friend. She was always there for her friends, and was pretty determined to solve each case. Mei didn't like how she allowed her emotions to sway her opinions on the murders, however. (We all saw how that worked.)

When he started with the whole depression thing, she really felt bad for him. She knew how it felt, and she even said some...kind of hurtful things in an attempt to get him out of that funk. But he managed to pull through! She's glad he didn't die.

Offering to play games immediately after Mei just watched her bff fall to her death was not a wise decision. There was also the fact that Mei suspected her just as much as Phoenix during that trial once the suspects were revealed.
But after Athena was found to not be the culprit, Mei didn't have anything against her. Being one of the more cheerful and more vocal people in the castle, Mei was pretty disappointed when she was murdered.

Later on, Sebastian told her that he could be trusted, and she did! Even with all the evidence pointing at him during Athena's murder, she wasn't really convinced he did it, as he seemed pretty on board with the 'screw the producers' plan.
She was pretty surprised when it was revealed that he was pretty much on a mission to save everyone at the castle along with their 'hosts'. With how much of a help he was during endgame, she's pretty happy the producers didn't manage to scapegoat him.

But Phoenix was the first person Mei's ever actually wanted to see die. Once it was discovered he was Yuyuko's killer, at least. No one has any idea how close she actually was to stabbing him before his execution.
She still kind of harbors a grudge, but now that she's got Yuyuko back, there's no murderous intent. Besides, she was told he'd lose his memories of it.

She seemed decent enough through the early weeks, but she was among those who believed that she was in the DK group when that report was brought up. Even so, she didn't have anything against her. She did kind of internally facepalm at all that volunteering for dangerous stuff, though.
There was actually a moment where Mei was scared of her, though. After that little confrontation with Nanami, Mei thought she'd just painted a big target on herself. That aside though, Mei wouldn't mind a chance to get to know her now that there's a lack of people plotting to kill each other.
