Maya's always seemed a little...odd to Mei. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Mei just doesn't get how Maya can be so cheerful most of the time.

Mei was honestly very jealous about how Maya was offered retirement while she wasn't, but she was also pretty moody in general that week because her ghostderp bff was killed.

But that faded relatively quickly. Mei never really disliked her. Maya brought a bit of light into the castle, and was one of the few faces Mei had grown to enjoy seeing around. She's not really sure if they're friends, but she'd like to think so.
