it's a little difficult to say, since peko tends to lose patience with kanaya's method of speaking. like. for fuck's sake kanaya, break it down to the key points and just say that. peko likes to cut straight to the point herself, so kanaya's wordiness irks her on occasion. especially when it relates to 'i can't tell you that information yet.'
that said peko does actually rather admire kanaya. kanaya made an effort to talk to peko and try to understand her point of view, and even if they never really reached total understanding on that, it was invaluable for peko's development as a person, to the point where she could actually tell kuzuryuu that she doesn't want to just be his tool anymore. she doesn't know what she's going to be now, but it's a start. kanaya was one of the ones who really opened her eyes to the fact that she really could change her own circumstances.
she still wouldn't call kanaya a friend, since that's still kind of weird for peko to think about. having friends. but it's a definite start!
