Kuzuryuu didn't really like ANYBODY in the beginning, but Glinda was one of the ones he was particularly not fond of because she was just SO ANNOYINGLY OPTIMISTIC. And, as a pessimist, that sort of shit really just grates on his nerves like no other. Some part of him was like "you are going to break so hard and I'm going to laugh when that happens" because he's an asshole. Obviously that didn't happen and he's GLAD NOW that it didn't but in the beginning he really just did not have a very positive opinion of Glinda because she was an optimistic idiot. The first thing that actually made him question that opinion though was the conversation they had after Marlowe's execution. OBVIOUSLY HE KNEW HERE WOULD BE MORE MURDERS, because he was part of the Producer's Murder Insurance Policy but the part where she said that she wanted to learn how to do things like cook really earned her some points with Kuzuryuu. Because he is a fiercely independent individual, like to the point that his self-reliance is both a good and a bad trait. So he respects people who are self-reliant or people who acknowledge that they should become so.

He still fully expected her optimism to break sooner or later, but as time went on he was less looking forward to it than he was dreading it because Glinda was starting to grow on him, MUCH TO HIS SURPRISE. And he came to realize that she was actually a lot smarter than he'd first assumed! She was still kind of a ditz, but she wasn't completely stupid. Though her tendency to write off people that she liked drove him up a wall just Glinda no that's not how this works. Stop. But even with that, his opinion of her generally went up as the weeks went on and she became one of the people he hoped would survive the game. WHICH WAS PROBABLY ONE OF HIS BIGGEST MISTAKES AS A DK, HONESTLY. Because he became so less willing to murder the more he got attached to people...

Then she uh...basically admitted to shipping him and Nanami and he just...HAHA he was really not well equipped at all to deal with that. Because Kuzuryuu has enough problems with just plain old friendship, never mind romantic entanglements. So he really wasn't lying when he said he had no interest in that. He's too emotionally and socially stunted to really even consider those sorts of relationships and even he realizes that on some level. So the whole thing actually kind of made him really uncomfortable! Especially since Kaoru told him that basically EVERYONE held that same opinion of their friendship. It was just weird and he didn't see why anybody would think that or why they would even CARE. And he really didn't want his friendship with Nanami to become awkward because it was really important to him! Because, as far as he knew, she was the first friend he ever had. And he definitely DIDN'T have those feelings for her but what if she did for him? That was something he hadn't considered before. What if people started pressuring her or something and just what if this ruins everything and make it weird that would be TERRIBLE. So he tried to shut Glinda down as best he could but obviously that didn't really work. Basically: THANK YOU FOR MAKING HIM HAVE WEIRD AWKWARD FEELINGS THAT HE DIDN'T WANT, GLINDA.

But that whole thing was very quickly driven out of his mind after the DKs were exposed. He was CONVINCED that this was going to be a bad thing and that all of his non-DK friends were going to turn on him or think he'd been trying to get close to them with the intention of betraying them. Which...in the beginning, he kind of was? Nanami told him that he had to start being nicer to people if he had any intention of surviving this game. So he did, but he fully intended for it to just be an act and to not actually get close to anybody. But that didn't work at all because...Kuzuryuu is Kuzuryuu. And he really DOES want friends and he IS a a good guy waaaaay deep down. But anyway, he was really scared that people like Glinda and Maribelle and Wriggle were going to feel betrayed with that information. Because, again, pessimist: it him. But then they weren't! And they actually wanted to help them??? What??? He really wasn't expecting that and he was oddly touched. And, unlike Athena, Glinda was one of the people that he actually like...felt that she MEANT it when she said it, even if she didn't have a plan. And iirc, she did at least make a few suggestions? even if they were...very Glinda-ish ones. So he was actually very touched despite how shitty the situation was.

Kuzuryuu actually never intended to leave any notes behind. Because he thought for sure that they would be suspicious of him a LOT SOONER than they were. So he thought he'd be caught early like Bakura was and have enough time to say everything he wanted to say before he was executed? But then people still kept trying to rule him out DESPITE WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS GLARING EVIDENCE POINTING RIGHT TO HIM. Or well not glaring but...when they got to talking about the notes and who possibly could have left them on the first day, he was convinced they were going to get him. But...they didn't...SO HE CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT LEAVING THINGS BEHIND. Glinda he left a note because he...really was touched that she liked/trusted him enough to defend him right off the bat. But, it's like he'd been trying to tell her since the beginning: you can't write people off just because you like him. So he really did feel like he had genuinely betrayed her trust there, even though he'd had good intentions. So he wrote her a note to 1) try and make himself feel less guilty and 2)try to encourage her. Because he knew shit was going to get a lot harder on them from there on out. And as much as they all needed people like Sebastian around, he'd come to find that he'd underestimated the things people like Glinda could bring to the table. No, she couldn't build camp murder and she probably wouldn't be much use in a fight but in a shitty situation, having people with an unbreakable will and a love for all the people around them is actually really important! SHE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PUNCH A MAN IN THE FACE, BUT SHE SURE CAN PUNCH DESPAIR RIGHT INTO THE STRATOSPHERE. And he knew that what he'd done was REALLY going to upset Nanami since it was more or less her nightmare from week 7. So he really wanted to be sure that there was somebody looking out for her emotional well-being, and Glinda was the one he trusted the most to do that! Not that she...wouldn't have done that without his prompting but he just felt better entrusting that to somebody.

All that being said, Glinda Is Important and he's so glad she survived till the end. Even if she was...admittedly one of the ones he was most concerned about during literal murder castle week. He considers her a friend and he actually thinks he could learn a thing or two about how to better deal with people from her. He won't outright ask her about that, but he'll probably just talk to her and observe and try to figure out how to make it work for him. Because Glinda is very good with people! Meanwhile, he still has a way to go. He's better! But there is always room for improvement. Though so help him if she tries to push him towards Nanami in a romantic way, he might shank her a little bit. Just a little. Verbally. Verbal shankage.
