laugh out freaking loud THIS GUY............

Okay so initially Apollo started out only mildly wary of Kuzuryuu because of the whole gangster thing--not because he was worried a legitimate Yakuza would off someone (well okay, yes he was, but that was more of an accepted fact), but because he's had to defend one before, so his opinion on mobsters and gangsters is painted as "oh god why is one here, at least he isn't spouting 90s slang."

But that aside, he was fairly neutral on him as an overall person! By week 3/Peko's trial, though, he'd gained a bit of respect for him (and Nanami) because they were consistently helpful and perceptive in trials! If he got stuck he'd just focus on whatever they were rambling about because hey, better than going in circles. He also felt........I don't want to say he felt bad for him after Peko's execution, just like "HM THIS IS AWKWARD." He just hoped he wasn't taking it too hard, since well the girl was a hitman and all, and he's just a kid, yakuza or not, so he just vaguely hoped he'd be okay. One of his few instances of tact, giving him Peko's thing and just walking off!!

Anyway, after that, he still stayed consistently neutral to Apollo! Apollo didn't mind talking to him though, they were both loud, kind of bitchy/grumpy, and he was a smart kid! It also didn't bother him whenever he got a bit bullied because, well, he's Apollo. He is used to that kind of thing.

FAST FORWARD TO WEEK 6, RIN'S TRIAL. As a note, Sebastian did not tell the laweyrs about his DK suspicions until after this trial. So he thought they were all acting ridiculously suspicious and oddly without any bias opinions. By this point he thought of Kuzu and Nanami as having really good instincts, but completely dismissing the thought of Chizuru being the killer really felt...off to him. He believed them, but it really bothered him that they had no legitimate reason to dismiss her as a suspect so quickly. When he realized no one had even FOLLOWED UP on their idea about Bakura's room, he honestly didn't mind going to give it a look around, because again, they had good instincts! (and on an OOC note, I was touch and go a lot that weekend--had i been around more Apollo probably would have checked Bakura's room earlier BUT IT WORKED OUT GREAT BEING NEAR THE END INSTEAD).

So that worked out fine, but it did leave him really confused about how they just knew. He also got really annoyed when Kuzu started arguing with him about people being selfish. It is the one subject Apollo will never budge on! Murder is murder, no matter who, what, or why, and it is a completely selfish action. He was also trying to point out that he doesn't consider himself on a moral high ground because of it, either, since they're sending murderers to their death! Being a lawyer, this is what he's paid to do! It sucks, and it is a selfish thing to do (they're all voting to survive, after all), but he absolutely can't forgive anyone who puts their life or a loved one's life above another, and he will send them to their deaths as punishment with very little sympathy in a heart beat \'-'\ (It's true, Apollo has felt little to no sympathy for any of the correct killers. Even with Peko he was just like dang, I thought I could make a non-crazy friend. Oh well.)

BUT ANYWAY YEAH KUZU ANNOYED HIM WITH THAT and their behavior was weird to him, but he shrugged it off!

But then Sebastian happened \8D/ And suddenly everything made way more sense to him! He kind of pegged Kuzuryuu and Nanami both as the "leaders", or at least having the most influence over the group, since those two were usually the most vocal! This revelation also confused the hell out of him because, here's this big bad Dk who.........is actually genuinely helpful in every trial even when one of their members is up (EXCEPT FOR FEFERI'S TRIAL). So like the others, he didn't think of Kuzuryuu as some SECRET EVIL KILLER GANGSTER. He was just a kid that was caught up in some bad noise. Despite this though, Apollo meant what he said! If any of them murdered someone again, they'd vote their asses off the metaphorical island just like that. BETTER TO DIE YOUNG, KIDS.

But no really, despite seeing them as kids/teenagers, Apollo respects them! Kuzuryuu in particular, since he didn't seem as naive and blindly hopeful as the others at time. But because of this, and his general outlook on life, he felt that if a person was mature enough to PLOT MURDER, they are mature enough to face the consequences. Whatever the DKs were being manipulated with did not matter to him! It goes back to his ideals of no one life is worth more than another.

SKIPPING AHEAD AGAIN, Apollo's talk to Nanami!! Apollo's intention with that bluff was to hope that Nanami would tell Kuzu and the others, and they'd panic and do some game changing crazy stuff that hopefully didn't involve murder. UNFORTUNATELY, IT DID, AND KUZU HAD ALREADY PLANNED TO DO SOMETHING ANYWAY, HAHA. After Kuzu's reveal Apollo was just like /HELPLESS HAND GESTURE???!??? You guys. He really did want to help them!! In a way that didn't involve murder! But Kuzu KAZOO'D REAL HARD. ALL THE DKs DID. In the end Apollo did think it was.........kind of noble, but that was after we found out Nanami COULD retire. Beforehand he was just like YOU JUST PULLED ANOTHER AUSTRIA YOU DUMBASS YOU ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING.

But thankfully that didn't happen!!

Overall he was more exasperated by the whole ordeal, and kind of annoyed at Kuzuryuu--he had yelled and ranted at Apollo for bluffing at Nanami, and then he turned around and made her blow up her friends. Hypocrite much!! Still, he could understand the intention so by the end he was just like, welp, at least we're getting somewhere. He also hoped that Kuzuryuu's antics drove the point home to everyone that being "kids" doesn't mean they are less innocent or less vulnerable than anyone else. /GESTURES TO KAMEKAZE KIDS.

By end game Apollo's opinion of him had gone from Neutral but Okay to Talk With to............i'm failing with words here HE DOESN'T DISLIKE HIM? BUT DOESN'T LIKE HIM EITHER? But it's definitely not a neutral opinion. Respected but wary?? Okay yes it went from "If he as still alive he'd probably grow up to be a really badass and dangerous but loyal Mob Boss." There. Yes. THAT'S KIND OF A COMPLIMENT????

ur a cool kid kuzu mabye don't suicide implode with your friends next time.
